The enviroment

Since its founding in 1973, the COEXPAN-NET group has adopted a strategy of anticipation and prevention, actively seeking to prevent and social and environmental impact that might be caused by our activity.

The group’s management encourages an attitude of real commitment to the environment in all its personnel, facilitating corporate awareness. In this way, people are urged to perceive the problem of the environment as a global challenge, the solution of which requires joint effort.

In keeping with this policy, COEXPAN-NET has been a founder member of CICLOPLAST since 1996, participating on the Technical Committee for prevention of plastic waste and assessment and recycling of waste for all kinds of plastic.

Cicloplast is a non-profit making organization, the aim of which is (according to Article 3 of its statutes) to "encourage and carry out prevention of the production of plastic waste, reuse and assessment of waste and all forms of plastics, whether by recycling, energy recovery or any other form of assessment, and whether its source is domestic, industrial or of any other kind," all within the scope of European Community directives.

Cicloplast was founded in November, 1996, to take on the commitment of the plastics sector towards the environment and encourage suitable management of plastic waste from any of its applications: packing and packaging, the car industry, farming, building , etc.

The whole of the plastic packaging industry is represented in Cicloplast, from plastic packaging transformer companies to the petrochemical companies which supply the raw materials.
