The
Extrusion Division of the COEXPAN-NET Group is specialized in the coextrusion
of polystyrene and barrier laminates for the food industry. Some factories
also produce polypropylene and terephthalate polyethylene laminates.
In
fact, COEXPAN-NET is the world leader in polystyrene laminate extrusion
for the form-fill-seal process for yoghurts and milk-based desserts. These
laminates may be of various types: white, transparent, two-coloured, striped
or with coloured bands (up to 5 colours).
Barrier wrapping protects packaged products from oxygen, gases and water
vapour by coextrusion of different polymers, in order to protect food
products over a long lifetime without the need for refrigeration.
The Extrusion Division has eight factories in Europe, Central America
and South America, exports all over the world and its customers are leaders
in the dairy products sector.
